The Vision

Shannon & John's request for florals? Something that would perfectly compliment their intimate celebration at the base of the Matanuska Glacier.

With minds wide open to color palette and aesthetic, we worked together the craft a vision for muted, pastel rainbow florals that popped against the greens of their ceremony site and blended seamlessly with the landscape as they adventured through the mountains by helicopter after saying "I do!"

For Shannon's bouquet, we aimed for a light and airy look to ensure her florals felt organic and natural in the many settings the couple planned to travel through on their wedding day. I knew that the glacier greys and blues would be brought out by pale lavenders and periwinkle blue hues, and the alpine meadows in the area are often tinged by hints of pink, sienna, and mustard.

John's boutonniere matched Shannon's bouquet perfectly in regards to color and composition, adding a romantic, earthy pop to his sleek suiting.

Not to be forgotten, the couple's flower girls donned dainty floral crowns for the ceremony, tying all the elements together during the intimate, sunny celebration.

Personal Florals

The couple brought their closest family and friends together for an intimate cocktail hour and reception at Sheep Mountain Lodge.

Cocktail hour was held in the venue's stunning greenhouse, and we prepared a number of budvases to decorate the tables where guests were able to relax, sign the couple's guestbook, and enjoy appetizers and libations.

After a bit of time soaking in the sun, the party moved indoors to the natural, sleek interior of Sheep Mountain's private dining area. To keep things seamless and cohesive, we stuck with the budvase theme and clustered a collection of petite designs down the length of the reception tables. With lots of height, dimension, and movement, these simple arrangements really brought the outdoors in.
